What is BMES?
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) operates with the Texas A&M Biomedical Engineering Department to expose students to the array of career opportunities in the biomedical industry. Participate in engaging presentations by industry professionals and professors, company field trips, and service events. Pursue opportunities for educational and professional enhancement!
Meeting will be held weekly on Tuesday at 7:15 pm in the Emerging Technologies Building Room 1037. Members will be treated to food at the meetings!
A majority of our general meetings include presentations from companies in industry, giving members an opportunity to network and gain a variety of professional skills and information. Dinner will be offered at meetings, as well as the chance for one-on-one conversations with the presentor!
General meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 7:15pm in room 1037.
We aim to provide our members an opportunity to explore post graduate programs and interact with various universities. Join us at our general meetings to connect with representatives from graduate school programs and learn more about medical school and master's/PhD programs and how to prepare and apply to them.
We understand the difficulty of pursuing engineering, without knowing where to start. Our Mentorship Program is made to guide and advise freshman and sophomores while they navigate their way through their engineering fields.
Because our school offers many career paths, we will provide students with several meetings to inform them of their options including:
The ETAM Process
Medical School Information
Study Abroad Opportunities
Specific BMEN Paths
Meetings will be on Mondays at 7:15pm in ETB room 1003.
